These power supplies are particularly interesting for applications requiring smooth-running processes in spite of poor grid quality and an unreliable power supply.

The especially compact dimensions of 100 x 130 x 125 mm are made possible thanks to the integrated 1.3 Ah battery module. The buffer time varies according to the load current: The module supplies 10 A for 1.5 min or 1 A for 30 min. Connected devices can be divided into buffered and un-buffered loads using the integrated diodes. If a continuous power supply is not essential, devices can be connected to the 24 V DC output on the power supply. This increases the buffer time for critical loads. Battery management and reliable signalling increase plant availability in comparison with standard installations. The power supply displays the battery charging status, the operating state and buffer mode, as well as warning when the battery module charge is running low.

Installation work is kept to a minimum thanks to integrated functions such as the timeout feature or preassembled insertion bridges used in place of customary wiring. Approval by Germanischer Lloyd (GL) for ship building and offshore applications demonstrates the trouble-free operation and long life span these power supplies offer, as GL approval sets high standards in terms of resistance to climatic strains and mechanical loads as well as electromagnetic compatibility.
