Electrical power systems expert, Ter-mate, has announced the appointment of Rob Swann as Managing Director. Rob is taking over from his father, Steve Swann, who now takes on the role of Chairman:
He gained extensive field experience in the power distribution and traction sectors and became Product Manager for busbars and terminations in 1998. He was subsequently promoted to the position of Operations Director which he has held for the last four years.
In recent years, Rob has taken the leading role in product development which included successfully guiding Power Plus, Ter-mate's 100kA fault-rated busbar system, through the type-testing process. He has also travelled widely on behalf of the company, particularly in South Africa and the Middle East, and has been instrumental in securing a number of valuable export orders.
Will ensure continuance:
"This is a really exhilarating time to be taking over," said Rob Swann, "as Ter-mate is celebrating 50 years of successful trading this year. My aim is to ensure the continuance of this of success. We will be increasing benefits to customers old and new, especially with new testing services and products, of which there are several in the pipeline. We're also working hard on developing our consultancy business, which we are confident can provide significant advantages for those who use it."
