Schneider Electric has introduced a brand new service to help businesses improve their green credentials.

Schneider Electric's new tool helps companies go green

The free-to-use, Self Assessment Tool has been specifically designed by the energy management specialist to assist businesses that already have some processes in place, but may not have explored all potential options to reduce energy costs and cut their carbon footprint. The assessment will determine how energy efficient the business already is and discover whether they are unlocking all potential energy savings.

Businesses fill out a questionnaire focusing on existing energy policies, information systems already used to monitor energy usage, and the energy management investment they are prepared to make. The self-assessment tool will also establish the company’s attitude to energy savings and the level of energy efficiency awareness among staff.

Seth Townsley, services marketing manager at Schneider Electric said: “This free service is an ideal solution for businesses that need to work on further improving the way in which they manage their energy. The assessment tool is designed to highlight any issues with what is already in place, what could be done, and further provide long term solutions to make those significant improvements happen.”

As a result of completing the questionnaire, the business taking part will be provided with an energy efficiency score and feedback on the response to energy awareness. The assessment will provide the company with hints and tips on energy management, raising awareness on areas they may have not thought about before such as lighting and building controls. It will also suggest ideal solutions that can be integrated to help the business achieve greater energy efficiency and customers can request a call back from Schneider Electric’s energy experts to discuss their results in greater detail.
