ATEX approved control and automation products from Schneider Electric

Schneider Electric's ranges of ATEX approved control and automation products include switches and sensors, data processing modules, control & signalling units, pushbuttons, emergency stops, selector switches, foot switches, HMI, machine safety switches and variable speed drives. Complete stations are available in metal or plastic, for explosive atmospheres.

A good example is the company's range of Harmony XAW ATEX D control stations. These form a wide range of compact and robust products designed to operate in hazardous environments. Such environments include anywhere air is mixed, in atmospheric conditions, with flammable substances in the form of gases, vapours, mists or dusts that, in the event of combustion, spread throughout the non-burning mix.

These ATEX certified products conform to the European Directive ATEX94/9/CE, and comprise control and signalling units (plus mounting systems), control stations, pushbuttons and mushroom heads (Ø22), selector switches and key switches, plus illuminated pushbuttons and pilot lights with LED indicators.
