The Friedland detectors provide coverage up to 360°, 200°, 140°, 110° or (for use with the wall lights) 90°. The 360, 200 and 140 models can control up to 1000W of either tungsten filament or tungsten halogen lighting, while the 110 model can control up to 1200W of tungsten filament, 1000W of tungsten halogen or 500W of fluorescent lighting. These detectors all have a detection range of 15m.
The 90° detector for use with wall lights, which can be either fitted with a 60W tungsten filament or compact fluorescent lamp, will control up to an additional 1000W of tungsten filament or an additional 500W of tungsten halogen lighting. Its detection range is 8m.
The Spectra floodlights include a 150W model for use with a 140° PIR detector and two 500W models for use with either a 140° or 200° PIR detector.
The detectors and floodlights are available in black or white. All are IP rated, either IP54 or IP44.
Wireless PIR movement detector:
The battery powered wire-free PIR movement detector has a detection range of 12 m within an adjustable detection area of 140°. When triggered, it sends a radio signal to a mains-powered receiver that automatically switches on the lighting connected to it. The receiver unit, which is suitable for either indoor or outdoor installation, has a switching capacity of 1000W of tungsten filament or tungsten halogen lamps. An unlimited number of detectors can be added to the system.
The wire-free detectors, rated at IP54, can be up to 50 metres from the receiver and positioned exactly where needed for optimum detection, or in places difficult to reach with cables. The detectors can be time-switched and they also incorporate a photocell to avoid wasteful daytime operation. To prevent interference from neighbouring Spectra wire-free systems the detectors are coded.
All Spectra products have a three-year guarantee.
