Question: Regarding BS7671:2008 (First Ammendment), why is there a delay in obtaining EICR forms from the scheme providers?
The EICR came into force on the first of January this year, but you cannot buy the forms, and wholesaler and scheme providers are advising their members to use the old PIR documentation until June 12.
So can somebody please give an explanation as to why this is the case?
Answer: We understand that not all private companies have signed an agreement to use our certificate layout. Unfortunately we have no control over the development program of private companies that have signed an agreement to use our certificate layout.
We now have all paper certificates in stock - and the Click software is up to date as an alternative.
