Question: With new manufactured electrical equipment, should its measured load be conducted at 230 or 240 VAC?
Answer: The nominal mains voltage rating in the UK is 230 VAC.
The equipment itself would need to meet current BS requirements and, therefore, the voltages it should be tested at would be part of the criteria set by the relevant British standards to which it must comply with.
