Question: Is a metallic bath or radiator, in a bathroom, supplied by plastic pipework, considered to be an extraneous conductive part?
Answer: BS7671: 2008 defines an extraneous-conductive-part as a part liable to introduce a potential, generally earth potential, and not forming part of the electrical installation.
In most cases metallic items, such as a bath or radiator supplied by plastic pipework, will not be classed as an extraneous-conductive-part.
