NICEIC Group has launched its very own Calibration Check Box.
It is supplied with a calibration certificate, mains power lead, 4mm test leads, a manual and provides a quick and simple method of checking the ongoing accuracy of electrical installation test instruments.
While it does not replace the normal calibration requirements, it does provide a ready check on instrument accuracy, helping to minimise costly revisits to confirm installation compliance and extend periods between costly formal calibrations.
The product offers the user checks for continuity testing, insulation resistance, earth fault loop impedance, local earth fault impedance and earth fault impedance plus 1 Ohm. There is also a fast check option for Site Checks.
When using a Check Box, it is essential for the user to remember that if the measured values are found to be within the manufacturer’s tolerance, the instrument is suitable for continued use. If the values are outside the manufacturer’s tolerance then the instrument should be returned for checking and calibration.
