The sensor specialist B.E.G. now also offers a large number of its " occupancy detectors " as BMS multi-sensors. The advantage of BMS multisensors over the classic connection of 24V multisensors is that the 2-wire DALI cable, which is often already available or planned for the lighting, can be used for the connection.

The simplification is enormous: while a conventional 24V multisensor often required one individual terminal per sensor and one individual supply line, a large number of BMS sensors can be connected to one line, depending on the DALI power supply. DALI luminaires and multi-sensors simply share the bus line.
Sensor information such as movement, presence and light values are transmitted by the BMS multi-sensors in "Multi-Master" mode even without cyclic querying. This sensor information is standardised. The B.E.G. BMS multisensors can therefore be used on all multimaster application controllers that support multisensors according to IEC 62386 Parts 101, 103, 303 and 304.
With state-of-the-art digital passive infrared detectors, the detectors offer a unique detection quality for movement and presence. Light measurement at B.E.G. is also particularly reliable thanks to external light sensors and allows, for example, constant light control up to 16m mounting height with the PD4-BMS-GH. The BMS family offers detectors for almost all applications, for example the mini-sensor "PICO" with only 11mm installation depth, the super-flat PD11 sensor or the PD4-BMS-GH high-bay detector.
