Martin O'Halloran has been named as the new CEO of the Health and Safety Authority (HSA):
A native of Bohermeen, County Meath, Martin O'Halloran has held senior positions with the former Telecom Eireann, Eircom and Vodafone. He has worked as an occupational health and safety professional in industry. He is a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin from where he holds a M.Sc. in Statistics and Operations Research. Additionally, O'Halloran holds a B.Sc (hons) Applied Physics, Mathematics from the University of London and is a Graduate Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health 1990 (Masters Programme) from the Robens Institute, University of Surrey.
From December 1992 to November 1995 Martin O'Halloran served as a non-executive director of the then National Authority for Occupational Safety and Health (HSA). He also Irish delegate to the European Commission advisory committee on Occupational Safety and Health from 1992 to 1995.
