An extensive selection of MK Electric’s stylish range of Edge wiring devices in Charcoal were specified for the new National Assembly of Wales building. The 5000m2 assembly building – designed by Richard Rogers Partnership – is located on a prominent and prestigious waterfront site in Cardiff Bay.
Designed to be a ‘landmark’ structure, the National Assembly for Wales is already the second most visited tourist attraction in Wales. Claimed to be “an imaginative response to a particular brief in an outstanding location”, the building is simultaneously intended to express the status of the Assembly while being instantly recognisable as the “political forum” for Wales.
Approximately 5000 devices from across the Edge range – from switches and sockets to isolators and data modules – were used throughout the building.
