Mita moves to single North Wales site

As part of its continuing programme of investment and development, leading specialist cable management company Mita UK is consolidating all manufacturing and marketing operations on a single HQ site at Bagillt in Flintshire, North Wales:

Founded in 1980, Mita is currently celebrating 25 years as a major supplier to the UK electrical industry. The company has gone from strength to strength in the past few years and its growth and performance in an increasingly competitive market have remained ahead of its main competitors.

Following the recent on-going implementation of 'lean' production technology and re-structured distribution and logistics functions which have resulted in significant improvements to customer services nationwide, the company is now moving its operations departments, currently based some 20 miles distant at Bodelwyddan in Denbighshire, to its manufacturing site at Bagillt.

Autonomous business:

Mita will continue to be managed as an autonomous business, supported by the Schneider UK group (a Voltimum Founder Member Company) through a variety of world-class initiatives including 6 Sigma, QVE and Industrial Excellence, representing a major vote of confidence by the parent company and clearly demonstrating Schneider Electric's commitment to the future growth of Mita UK Ltd

Representing an investment by parent company Schneider Electric of more than £1m, the company's existing Bagillt site will be redeveloped and upgraded with the installation of new plant and machinery to provide a major expansion of its production facilities. This will not only allow for further growth and future expansion with new high-efficiency, leading-edge production systems, but will also provide further upgrades in the comprehensive services offered to customers throughout the UK for the full range of Mita-branded cable management products and systems.
