Horstmann Controls’ latest HRT4-ZW wireless room thermostat for domestic central heating features two of the very latest control and communications technologies - Z-Wave™ RF networking technology and TPI control software.
The interoperable two-way Z-Wave™ RF mesh networking technology produces optimum comfort levels using proven technology that is highly reliable and permits easy network management.
With this feature the HRT4-ZW not only offers close control of the energy used to heat the home but removes the need for additional wiring, unsightly cable runs and reduces installation times.
The TPI (Time Proportional Integral) control software used in the HRT4-ZW outperforms many older styles of thermostat creating the potential for energy savings in the order of 10%. A TPI regulating thermostat will maintain the comfort level far more efficiently than any traditional thermostat and when used with a condensing boiler, the ‘stat will help to save energy as the control algorithm allows the boiler to operate in condensing mode more consistently in comparison with traditional thermostats.
Designed to complement Horstmann’s extensive range of programmers, controllers and zone valves, the HRT series offers 5 versions of the ‘stat, covering not only the RF but wired with mains or battery powered options and more specialised Frost Stat and Tamperproof models.
