Leading international franchise operation, Mr. Electric recently hosted the high profile and well known, Third Wednesday Club:

Famous Third Wednesday club comes to the Midlands
The club was created as a meeting place and discussion forum exclusively for franchisors, who wanted somewhere to talk freely about current issues without the cross selling of other events.

Originally based in London, the idea became so popular that Northern and Midlands-based franchisors asked for events to take place closer to home. As a result, concurrent sessions are held in both Leeds and Birmingham.

Taking place at Mr. Electric's Home Office, the session focussed on 'franchisee recruitment media - what works?' and was well attended by over 30 franchisor-members from around the Midlands.

Franchise issues discussed:

Clive Houlston, MD of Mr. Electric in the UK said: "Not only was it an honour to be asked to host and house the event, but it also gave us the opportunity to discuss a number of franchise related issues."

"Some of the topics discussed included current issues, the franchise world and general discussion on business performance and growth. An event such as this allows franchisors to concentrate on the issues that count, without being sold insurance, pensions or legal advice, which are common place at other organised events."

Some very familiar franchisor faces attended the event including Mike Noad from the UK's largest and most successful next day parcel delivery network, Interlink Express, Phil Guest from The Phone Works Limited, Justin Kyriakou from ink jet and print cartridges specialists, Ink Drop, Debbie Smith from leading national staffing services company, Select and Paul Monaghan, from Howarth Franchising who presented the day.
