EX terminal boxes comply with ATEX 100

Enclosure specialist Rittal has announced that its EX terminal boxes now comply with the new EC Directive 94/9/EC on explosion protection. Called ATEX 100, this new legislation became effective at the end of June last year.

The Rittal EX terminal box product required no physical or technical change to meet all the requirements of the new ATEX directive. The enclosures also meet the requirements for terminal boxes where applications require EXe and Exia, says the company.

All the new certification, from the testing authority, is now available.
