Q & A of the Day - Must we provide separate earthing for LV and low current systems?
Question: We are designing an earthing system for panel and pump buildings in a wastewater treatment plant.

Do we need to provide a separate earthing system for low voltage and low current systems according to BS standards, or can we use a common earthing system for entire systems in the plant?

What is required with BS standards?

Answer: One common good earthing system should be used in accordance with BS 7430.
