Competition hots up for CHN group

CHN Heating & Plumbing Services, which employs more than 400 people and operates from ten offices across the Midlands, is awaiting the event, which was held yesterday (3rd May) in London. Being short-listed has already positioned the company, formed in 1970, as a sector leader. It had been nominated for the Domestic Heating Contractor of the Year and the Services and Maintenance Initiative of the Year categories in the 2007 Heating and Ventilation News Awards. At the time of going to press, we have not yet heard the results.

Ian Cole, founding partner and group director for the CHN Group, said: "We are proud to be rewarded for our work in the industry and it is a tribute to everyone's endeavours and dedication that our efforts have been recognised.

"Being short listed for the H and V News Awards really sets us apart from other businesses in our delivery of products and services to an extensive customer base across the UK."

In both categories judges were looking for evidence of improved competence and professionalism, as well as outstanding commercial success and a strategic approach to business.

The 13th annual event took place at the Grosvenor House Hotel in central London with a spectacular display of music, glamour and comedy as the leading lights of the building services world are rewarded for their innovation and industry.
