Nearly 3km of Ackermann’s Interact underfloor power track and 1400 underfloor boxes are installed in the Capital One Call Centre in Loxley House, Nottingham. 13 NOV 2002
With this £60 million extension to its European headquarters, Capital One has created 1000 new jobs, bringing its workforce in Nottingham to over 2,000.
The power track installation is made up of 606 x 3.6m lengths, 238 x 2.4m lengths, and 32 x 1.2m lengths, all rated at 63A. All these tracks incorporate shutters and have an IP rating of 4x. The floorboxes are from Ackermann’s Cablelink range. (TR needs guidance as to whether these are the new Rapide Extra boxes or whether of an older design).
The installation was carried out by T.Clarke (Midlands) Ltd. Ackermann underfloor power track and floor boxes were a natural choice for installation in Loxley House as an Ackermann cable management system was already in place in the adjacent Trent House, which Capital One has occupied since 1997.
