In today’s dynamic environment, there is an ever growing requirement to make the buildings in which we live and work 'smarter'. The benefits of the networked house are obvious. Now you can communicate with your office or home from any place around the world. All you need is a network connection.
In the first module of this e-learning, we provide basic information for understanding data and network technology.
Additionally, since security has become an important topic in networking, in the second module we summarise important security recommendations to reduce the risks of a connected smart home.
In the third module, we go closer to the practice and show some examples of the networking theory in relation to our home and building solutions: i-bus KNX, free@home and Welcome. Feel free to check them all or only the one you are interested in.
This course was made for anyone, with or without technical background, who wishes to gain a better understanding of the technical aspects of networking.
