Emerson Network Power has announced the availability of Liebert NPS. This is a fast static transfer switching device for redundant operation between two input power sources, that ensures continuous, dual-input power supply to high-availability equipment:
Designed to provide 100% uptime racks to business customers, the Liebert NPS by Emerson Network Power is claimed to be the ideal solution for Telecom applications.

With a slim 2U case for rack mount applications, the Liebert NPS is capable of supporting loads up to 6kVA of power at 230V or 25A, and features a hot swappable bypass module. It offers one of the best price / performance ratios in the market, combined with high quality and reliability. A user-friendly interface, the simple operation and maintenance, allow easy integration in telecom, network and computer application environments. A single Liebert NPS can protect a whole rack, ensuring fast and secure manual and automatic transfer from one input source to an alternative source with no interruption to the load.
For optimal performance the Liebert NPS can be used with Liebert UPStation GXT2 uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), available in ratings between 700VA and 6000VA, for rack and tower mode applications.
The NPS introduces a new model to the already widely known Liebert SmartSwitch series which features Fast Static Switches in ratings between 16 and 50 Amperes, for single-phase as well as three-phase applications.
