The deadline for entries for the ECA Apprenticeship Awards 2004 is looming:

Employers have until the 30th July to enter apprentices in their employ for the ECA Apprenticeship Awards 2004. These recognise and reward electrical apprentices who have demonstrated the highest academic and vocational standards.

Apprentices from England, Wales and Northern Ireland are considered for both ECA National and Regional awards. To be considered, an apprentice must gain high grades in any one of the following City & Guilds examinations:

· City & Guilds 2360-03 Electrical Installation Work (Course C) (3 credits).
· City & Guilds 2360-07 Electrical Installation Theory Part 2 (2 credits or better).
· City & Guilds 2351 Knowledge of Electrical Installations (6 distinctions or better) (8 units).

There are cash prizes for the winners plus certificates of commendations. In addition, the winner's employers are presented with a certificate in recognition of their contribution and commitment to education and training.
