HS4-004 is the reference for the ECA’s ‘Health & Safety For Owners and Managers’ one-day course:
The ECA’s Health & safety For Owners and Managers one-day course has been designed for owners, directors and managers of electrical contracting companies who have the responsibility for health & safety management.
The objectives:
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Know and understand the statutory requirements, notices and notifications applicable. Know and understand their responsibilities for safety.
- Know what is required to establish health and safety competence.
The course content includes: need, purpose and benefits; personal liability of employers, management and employees; occupier's liability and statutory controls; principle of health & safety management (HSG65); the principle of risk assessment; health & safety policy content; construction (Design and Management) Regulations 1994; and an end of course knowledge assessment.
