Having been used in Phase 1 of the HM Treasury refurbishment, Tyco Thermal Controls' Pyrotenax Multi-Plus cable is now being similarly used for lighting and power cable distribution to socket outlets on the second phase of the same project:
The cable also features an aluminium screen which reduces electrical interference. During Phase 1 of the HM Treasury refurbishment project, the ease of handling was appreciated by the installers, where joists, RSJs and beams within the building imposed space constraints on underfloor services. It proved easy to install and dressed neatly, leading to its specification once again for Phase 2.
Multi-Plus also offers the latest halogen-free technology, low smoke and reduced flame propagation technology. It is available in 2, 3 and 4-core designs, with cross sectional areas ranging from 1.5mm2 to 6.0mm2 of annealed stranded copper conductors. Each cable also includes a tinned annealed stranded copper Circuit Protective Conductor (CPC) of equal cross sectional area to its respective phase conductor.
