This Modicon MCM safe RS485 bus expansion module for remote extension has 2-channel transmitter/receiver network connection and is fitted with captive spring clamp terminals. It enables the connection of modular safety controllers type XPSMCMCP0802 and XPSMCMC10804 with the expansion modules placed at distances up to 50m (164ft.) using RS485 shielded cables. It is furnished with spring clamp terminals, removable terminal block for electrical connection. It is an IP20 rated product. Combined with safe RS485 bus expansion module type XPSMCMCO0000S2, It allows to create up to 6 decentralized I/O islands.
