Understanding Part L

This is a one day course designed to equip attendees with the confidence to address Part L compliance issues with regard to lighting

This course provides a full background to the development of the regulations, and particularly focuses on non-domestic buildings. 

Although Part L is now primarily targeted at England there is direct linkage to the equivalent regulations in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.    
    
Who Should Attend: 
whether you are a designer, an installer or a lighting supplier; if you want to be confident about advising your client about lighting and the Building Regulations this one day covers the subject in detail.

This course will provide:
•    A good understanding of development of both the Approved Documents and current Lighting Technology including controls.
•    An interactive exercise to demonstrate the principles of the simplified LENI calculations required. (LENI = Lighting Energy Numeric Indicator.)
•    Detailed advice on the revised lighting requirements, and the move from efficient products to efficient use.
•    An insight into the use of relevant standards and codes; particularly EN12464 and EN15193.
•    A framework approach to lighting design and implementation that will successfully deliver compliant schemes.
