Specifically for installation in domestic premises, three ionisation smoke detectors (ISDs) offered by Bardic are based on the company’s long and wide experience in making smoke detectors and fire alarm systems for commercial and industrial premises.

Two of the detectors specifically fulfil the requirements of recent legislation, i.e. that all new build houses and rented accommodation should be fitted with mains powered smoke detectors. The first of these is a mains only operated unit, the second being mains operated with battery back up and the third unit; battery only operated.
Following commercial/industrial practices, Bardic has designed its mains and mains/battery domestic units so that up to 12 can be interconnected to give total ‘all around the house’ protection giving both audible and visual indication of an activation. All three ISD models carry the BSI Kite Mark to indicate they conform to BS 5446 Pt 1:2000 giving the end user peace of mind with regard to quality and reliability.
A particularly useful feature to overcome the annoyance factor of false alarms is included in the mains and mains/battery operated units. It is a ‘hush’ function, which allows users to mute the alarm in those cases where it has been triggered accidentally.
Bardic is a Novar group company.
