QUESTION:

Which is the best calculation to use for checking the readings on R1 RN end to end on ring main so I know it’s not measuring high?

ANSWER:

The value will be approximately one-quarter of the resistance of the line and neutral conductor loop resistances, i.e. (R1+Rn)/4
