The strongly-made Robin SmartPAT 5000 Portable Appliance Tester has been designed to check the safety of Class I and Class II portable appliances. It aids compliance with the legal requirements of the 'Electricity at Work Regulations 1989' and the 'Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) 1998'. Operations performed for 230V and 110V appliances include earth bond, 100mA business equipment test, insulation test, P-N continuity / fuse test, earth leakage, flash test as well as the testing of IEC leads.
By entering one of the pre-programmed test codes, the SmartPAT 5000 will guide the user through the test sequence relevant to the particular appliance. If required, new test sequences can be programmed by the user. At any point in the test cycle, extensive on-board Help procedures can be accessed.
Easy-to-manage results:
Each test result is assigned a unique reference and stored in the tester. An optional barcode scanner can be used to directly enter the appliance number, site details and test sequences. The results can be downloaded later to a PC running optional Robin PowerPAT Plus software or direct to an optional Robin SP 1000 printer, thus avoiding the possibility of on-site transcription errors. The Windows-based software manages all test records and enables comprehensive reporting and comparisons with previous readings for each individual site. It stores descriptive details of each appliance, where it is located, its unique identifier, and the results of the Health and Safety Executive tests.
The Robin SP 1000 printer gives each test result at the push of a button. Test results can be issued immediately the work has been carried out. The SP1000 is powered by a rechargeable battery and will fit neatly into the lid of the SmartPAT 5000.
