Predictive maintenance for motors, generators, transformers, switchgear and other critical electrical assets is now easier than ever to implement with Megger’s new CertSuite Asset software.

Predictive maintenance simplified with CertSuite Asset from Megger

The latest addition to the highly regarded CertSuite family, CertSuite Asset works with selected Megger instruments to capture test results, store them securely in the cloud and produce readily customisable reports. Real-time display and graphing of test results is also supported.

CertSuite Asset is currently available as a mobile app for both IOS and Android devices, and a web-based version that works with all major browsers. It is compatible with various DC insulation resistance testers, including the S1-568, S1-1068, and S1-1568 models, as well as the MIT2500 and MIT430. These testers use classic Bluetooth communication with Android devices or via browsers. The MIT525, MIT1025, and MIT1525 models are used with a USB cable and a browser. Although support for many instruments is yet to come, the DLRO2X will be the next to be supported, which will provide all app and browser options. There is no limit on the number of assets the software can be used with; it provides unlimited storage for test results.

“Predictive maintenance is proven to save money and significantly reduce unplanned outages, but implementing it relies on reliably collecting, storing and analysing test data. We have developed CertSuite Asset to take the hard work out of this. The software acquires data directly from the test set, saving time and eliminating the risk of errors, and it can provide reports in almost any format the user wants. We are confident it will make predictive maintenance more accessible and effective for a wide range of users.”

Among the features supported by the CertSuite Asset software package are live streaming and graphing of IR curves, test current and voltage; in-app temperature correction of IR values; and the option to record details such as weather conditions and the type of test leads used. For tests that were performed in the past, the software can upload results stored in the software’s cloud storage. Reports can include company logos, digital signatures and accreditation symbols.
