MGE UPS Systems has announced the launch of 'Personal Solution Pac 3.0 for Linux'. This is thought to be the first complete power management software solution for Linux:

Darrell Smithson, Director of Sales for MGE UK comments, "The Linux version of Personal Solution Pac 3.0 is easy to install and operate. Its features include user-friendly graphic interfaces, automatic detection of UPSs connected, USB and serial communication, use of native distribution systems for software installation and updating, a taskbar icon for easy access to the supervision interface and a graphical pop-up windows for fast access to alarms.
The NUT Initiative:
Already a major contributor to the NUT (Network UPS Tools) initiative (http://eu1.networkupstools.org) since 2001, MGE UPS Systems became the initiative leader in 2005. MGE provides UPS system support through partnerships with the key players in the Linux world: Debian, Mandriva (technology partner), Silver Technology, Novell SUSE and Redhat Ready.
