We are always looking for exceptional talent to join our inspiring multinational family and right now we are seeking to recruit a Technical Support Engineer to join our highly successful Technical Support Group in Dover.
The Technical Support Engineer’s role is to support and assist customers in the operation and use of Megger’s test and measurement equipment primarily in the Low Voltage Sector. The primary focus of this role is helping customers understand how to test electrical installations & systems and interpret the test results. It involves the requirement for both reactive and proactive support by means of creating application notes and how to videos.
This is a technical role and requires an understanding of electrical power systems, test and measurement principles and the process of asset condition assessment. Training will be provided, as required, on an ongoing basis.
The key responsibilities
- Customer technical support by telephone, email, social media & web chat
- Customer & distributor support via site visits including product demonstrations
- Sales assistance (specification assistance & product selection)
- Product/Application training for internal and external customers
- Product operational feedback to product management for QA and R&D purposes
- Creation of technical content to assist with pre and post sales customer support as well as lead generation such as competitor comparisons, application notes & videos to assist group marcomms.
- Involvement with “how to” video production
- Technical webinars
- Participation in conferences and seminars
