The Electrical Industries Charity (EIC)’s MD, Jess, will be taking on her final #JoinJess challenge in Belfast on 12 October, where she will be abseiling off Europa Hotel.
This challenge comes after Jess set a goal of rallying a community of 1,000 supporters to join her in raising £120 each to reach this year's target of £120,000.
Jess is excited at the prospect of reaching this year’s target and finishing #JoinJess on a high.
“I’m definitely a bit anxious about those initial few steps going over the ledge to start the abseil, but I’m also really excited to finish #JoinJess on a high. I’ll be doing it with a fantastic group of people and, hopefully, we’ll be that little bit closer to reaching our £120k target.”
Jess says the most meaningful part of partaking in these challenges is knowing that every step we take makes a difference.
“These challenges bring people together, create awareness, and raise vital funds for a cause that really matters. Seeing the impact firsthand keeps me motivated.”
She stresses that supporters can get involved in a number of ways.
“There are so many ways to get involved. You can join a challenge, volunteer your time, or support through fundraising and donations. Even sharing our message helps spread awareness and makes a big difference.”
So far, Jess and her supporters have already ziplined over North Wales at speeds of up to 100mph on the fastest zipline in the world, completed the famous Kiltwalk in Glasgow, and walked 19.5 miles on the Thames Path in London.
