Dimplex has launched a new range of tubular heaters with adjustable thermostatic control, enabling low-cost background heating and frost protection without the need for continuous operation.

Unlike most similar heaters, the adjustable thermostat can be used to control the operation of Dimplex’s tubular heater, keeping running costs to a minimum and allowing the product to be turned off when not in use.
Suitable for domestic and commercial applications, the range includes six models from one foot (40W) to six foot (240W). Each has a dedicated frost setting offering more economical use, only powering the product when the temperature is very low.
These control features mean that in most cases, the heater will achieve payback in less than a year including fitting when compared to a model without a thermostat.
Each heater is IPX4 rated, which makes it suitable for use in greenhouses, and a linking kit is also available for the banking and easy wiring of multiple heaters.
Shaun Hurworth, product manager for Dimplex, said: “Tubular heaters of this kind have a wide range of applications, from garages and cupboards to greenhouses and caravans. Despite their flexibility, they are almost universally used with no timer or thermostatic control, which means they are running continuously and incurring costs 24/7.
“The addition of a fully adjustable thermostat with added frost protection setting to our latest models will ensure lower running costs and more efficient use, with an unbeatable payback period of less than 12 months.”
