One-to-one tutoring during the tasks to improve understanding with time given to explore the software.
The course also includes for the design of both Emergency and Exterior Lighting
Who Should Attend:
This course is designed to suit delegates with a basic understanding of lighting design and some familiarity with Microsoft Windows software.
Certificates will be awarded to delegates and qualify for 5 hours of CPD (Continual Professional Development)
Course Content
• Introduction to the software, including importing Plugins and Photometric files
• Simple interior layout and lumen method design calculation
• Creating a basic report of results for printing or pdf file
• Emergency lighting and calculation in an open area
• General lighting along a corridor
• Emergency lighting assessment and calculation along a corridor
Creating and editing rooms including surface textures
• Inserting luminaires singly, in rows and as groups
• Calculation grid layout and placement
• Artificial light calculations
• Evaluating task uniformity
• Inserting room elements ceilings, stairs
• Building a report
• Importing and exporting CAD files and using integral CAD viewer
• Introduction to ray tracing 3D rendering of scenes
• Aiming of luminaires
• Adjusting luminaire aiming with immediate dynamic results on grid layout
• Generating irregular areas to be lit
• Viewing the results and types of report available
