This controller is part of the Modicon MC80 range, an offer of compact processors. It features 8 discrete inputs and 8 discrete outputs, It does not support analog inputs. It provides Modbus, CANopen, and Ethernet connection. It has a 24 V power consumption. EcoStruxure Control Expert programming software is required to set up the Modicon MC80 controller. It weighs 0.980kg. It is fit for thermo solar and tower power applications. Modicon MC80 PLCs comply to IEC, UL, and CSA standards. It is compatible with terminal blocks for high-speed counter and discrete I/O modules. MC80 PLC can be mounted on DIN rails of 35mm wide or on panels. MC80 controllers are completely integrated with the other Modicon controllers, programmed and commissioned with EcoStruxure Control Expert. Modicon MC80 range features automated platform processors which are compact with discrete I/O functions, analog input functions, counting functions, and communication functions.
