CU/XLPE/PVC/SWA/PVC is a XLPE insulated, PVC bedded, steel wirearmoured and PVC sheathed auxiliary cable with circular, compactedand stranded annealed copper conductors complying with BS 6360class 2. The cable is designed according to BS 5467. The armour isa single layer of galvanized steel wires, laid in a left handdirection. The cores are marked with numbers and they are laid upin concentric layers and covered with an extruded layer of pvccompound. The external surface on the outer sheath is embossed"NEXANS GS BASEC ELECTRIC CABLE 600/1000 V BS 5467 NUMBER OF CORESX NOMINAL AREA OF THE CONDUCTOR XLPE YAER OF MANUFACTURE" + metremarking.

 

Current ratings

The cable can be loaded according to IEC 60287: "CALCULATION OF THECONTIOUS CURRENT RATING OF CABLES (100% LOAD FACTOR)".

Standards

The cable is manufactured and tested according to BS 5467.
