BEAMA
BEAMA (the British Electrotechnical and Allied Manufacturers’ Association) is a non-profit making organisation representing over 300 manufacturing companies primarily from the electrotechnical industry. BEAMA strives to provide leadership, expertise and independent influence in the areas of product safety, performance, energy efficiency and sustainability. Members of BEAMA benefit from over 100 years of valuable experience in a range of industries in the electrical, energy, water and power related sectors.
BEAMA has three sector groupings consisting of Energy, Installation and Power. Through the Energy sector BEAMA manages research and development projects working with member companies in the controls, metering, energy-related communications, and electrical heating, heat pumps and ventilation sectors, as well as other industry players, UK Government and EU Commission. BEAMA Installation represents manufacturers of electrical equipment and cable management products. BEAMA Power acts on behalf of a diverse range of associations with a common interest in equipment such as capital plant, equipment used in electrical installation above 1000v, and other items including machines, welding equipment and industrial floor cleaning equipment.
