Our expert answers a question from a Voltimum user regarding fire standards in relation to transfer switches.

We recently ran a live webinar covering fire standards in relation to transfer switches which can be viewed here:
Below you will find one of the questions from the Q&A at the end.
Question:
Do you need to have a single or double bypass?
Answer
Under the fire standards you only need a single, but be aware for critical loads - if you take the ATS out of service for maintenance when you're in source one, if you lose source one and want to transfer to source two, you can only do that with a double bypass. However most only require a single bypass.
