Voltimum seeks a talented and experienced marketeer to join its dynamic UK team.

Are you passionate about the internet as a communication vehicle? Are you a good people person?  Do you know and love the UK Electrical industry?  If so, then this could be the job for you.  We seek a Marketing Manager for our well-established, high profile, Internet Portal for the UK electrical industry who will also help us develop our recently launched Digital TV Network and our range of interactive services such as webinars, market research and online campaigns for our blue chip members.

Voltimum is jointly owned by several blue-chip manufacturers who are Europe’s market leaders in their field:  ABB, Legrand, Nexans, OSRAM, Philips, Prysmian and Schneider Electric.  It is also backed by Eaton, Draka, Dimplex, Vent-Axia, Thorn, Applied-Energy Products Ltd, CMG, Cooper Lighting and Safety and Marshall Tufflex, Fluke, Leica Geosystems and Horstmann Controls.

The Marketing Manager will manage on-line and off-line marketing campaigns, manage relationships with the blue chip members of the portal, identify growth and revenue generating opportunities and develop and manage a fast growing user base.

Some specific responsibilities of the role include:


- Ensure continued growth of the portal’s user base and traffic to the portal through use of on-line marketing techniques (such as search engine optimisation and pay per click advertising) as well as traditional marketing tools (such as trade fair participation, trade advertising, telephone campaigns, press & PR)
- Maintain and develop the excellent relationships the company has with existing partners through good account management and regular communication
- Develop new business for the portal to grow revenue, by the recruitment of new partners and the development of new revenue generating services such as webinars, market research, TV campaigns, digital marketing campaigns, etc
- Help maintain our high profile in the electrical industry through PR & advertising, trade fair participation etc and fostering relationships with trade media
- Optimise opportunities within our existing user base including organisation of differentiated and targeted campaigns to clearly identified segments
- Creation and implementation of the annual marketing plan, including achievement of key traffic targets
- Organisation and management of on-line multi-media marketing campaigns for existing partners.

The successful candidate will be creative, enthusiastic, motivational, a team player and a good communicator with the ability to react quickly to market changes and opportunities.

A graduate but with significant experience in the multimedia department of a commercial operation, you will hold a broad range of skills including:

- Knowledge of Internet marketing, including proven success in organisation of on-line marketing campaigns
- Experience of planning, management and implementation of a variety of traditional marketing campaigns;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to persuade, convince and get buy-in at many different levels in an organisation
- Fluent written and spoken English with the ability to write copy for promotional purposes
- Ability to manage a fast growing and dynamic user database with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Microsoft Access or a CRM system would be an advantage
- Experience of PR generation and dealing with the trade press.

The job is mostly office based in Fulham but some UK travel will be required along with some limited overseas travel. Salary is commensurate with experience.
