Question:
Technical Query on SPD
I have a situation with a Photo Voltaic (PV) array on one of our projects. The installer of the array has a type 2 fitted into their system (within the invertor) which is effectively a feed into the clients system. I have two queries:
Q1. Should this not be a type 1 SPD? as it is a high risk coming from the roof.
Q2. If I install another type 1 SPD at our Switchgear in series with the type 2 will it function ok ie, it is the reverse of the normal arrangement.
