Vent-Axia, the leader in low carbon ventilation, has launched the new Sentinel Multivent wholehouse ventilation system to respond precisely and automatically to the ventilation requirements in a property. Sentinel Multivent complies with Building Regulations Part F 2006 and Part L1a, including SAP 2005 and Appendix Q to provide an estimated 55% energy saving and an annual 60kg carbon reduction compared to conventional ventilation solutions:
Sentinel Multivent is a continuous 'on demand' mechanical extract system, capable of simultaneous ventilation of different rooms. Stale air is extracted via ductwork from the kitchen, toilet, bathroom or other wet areas as and when required, then discharged by the Sentinel Multivent unit through a single outlet vent.
The system's exact ventilation rate can be set on the LCD display at low, normal or boost speeds to match the volume of the property. This operation is then further enhanced by a range of external, plug and play control and sensor options which can account for changes in humidity, air quality, PIR (Passive Infra Red), CO2 and temperature. Integral humidity sensor, delay-on timer, overrun timer and wireless control options are also available. This versatility ensures that the Sentinel Multivent system can be tailored to individual property requirements. It also achieves optimum energy performance, air quality and occupant comfort levels in the home.
By incorporating the latest Low Watt DC motor technology, the Sentinel Multivent also minimises running costs and maximises the longevity of the product. The system can be set to meet any ventilation requirement up to 450m3 /h whilst maintaining a low Specific Fan Power, making it one of the most efficient wholehouse ventilation products on the market.
Sentinel Multivent also features an optional 'dry out' facility which will run the unit on boost for one week to assist in removing moisture associated with new build installations. The unit will then revert back to the programmed settings after one week.
Designed for loft, ceiling or airing cupboard installation, the Sentinel Multivent is ultra quiet in operation. The unit is acoustically lined as standard for low noise levels.
Vent-Axia's LoWatt mechanical extract systems are part of the Vent-Axia Lo-Carbon collection of energy saving ventilation solutions. The aim of the Lo-Carbon initiative is to offer the latest low carbon ventilation technology in order to reduce building energy consumption and so carbon emissions.
