A new and inexpensive all in one residential networking system called Delta 8, and the latest Clipsal C-Bus solutions, from Schneider Electric, will be amongst the products displayed during the Cedia Expo Exhibition at London’s Excel on 26-28 June 2007, stand number B1.

With an increasing brand portfolio, the Schneider Electric stand will be showcasing solutions from GET, Square D and Clipsal. Demonstrating the scalable nature of home automation and entertainment networking, product demonstrations will include standalone wireless lighting control solutions right through to fully programmable and configurable home automation systems such as Clipsal C-Bus.
Visitors will clearly see the benefits of each system and understand how affordable solutions can easily be incorporated into a range of property types, opening up new opportunities for installers.
The new Delta 8 system, for example, allows telephone, data, TV and entertainment to be piped to every outlet in the home simultaneously through a single cable solution. It brings great flexibility to property developers, providing not only a cost effective and easily installed solution; but the attractive and discrete design gives homes affordable differentiators and a real competitive edge with broad consumer appeal.
Since every core unit of Delta 8 has eight links, and the cable carries three services, the system provides the equivalent of 24 telephone, TV and data outlet functions. Whilst ideally suited to flats and apartments, larger properties can be catered for by simply stacking units together.
Further networking and multi-room audio solutions will be on show including the popular LexCom Home and LexCom Home audio.
Also on show will be the latest Clipsal C-Bus range boasting elegant styling, intelligent touch screens, programmable switches and the recently introduced wireless options.
Using C-Bus wireless makes installing even the most complex of residential lighting control systems a fast and straightforward task.
C-Bus wireless wall switch modules are fitted just like ordinary light switches, and require only 230V live and switched live connections – not even a neutral is needed. This makes them easy to fit, in both new or existing installations, and completely eliminates the cost, inconvenience and disruption associated with channelling walls to accommodate new wiring.
The modules can be programmed simply and quickly to provide a full range of functions, including two-, three- and multiple-way switching, dimming and pre-set lighting scenes.
