Shelly has expanded its professional software portfolio with the launch of Shelly Business Manager, a cloud-based platform for monitoring and managing connected devices across multiple sites.
New cloud-based platform enables installers, system integrators and businesses to create custom-branded management environments without complex coding.
Designed for installers, resellers, system integrators and businesses, the platform brings device status, energy-consumption data, reporting and site management into a single interface. It also allows organisations to create a custom-branded environment for their customers without the need for complex programming.
The platform is intended to help Shelly partners and professional users develop services around energy management, building automation and device monitoring. Rather than managing each installation separately, users can oversee devices and systems across an entire estate, making it easier to identify locations that may require attention.
Centralised visibility across multiple locations
Shelly Business Manager provides an overview of installations, device status and energy consumption across multiple sites. A supermarket operator, for example, could use a central dashboard to monitor refrigeration, lighting and other technical systems across its stores. Unusual energy consumption, device faults or other operational issues can be highlighted, allowing facilities and maintenance teams to investigate sooner.
Reporting and monitoring tools enable businesses to make greater use of the operational data generated by Shelly devices and provide additional services to their own customers. Pre-configured templates are designed to support faster deployment, while users can create custom dashboards and management interfaces without having to build each environment through complex coding.
The custom-branding functionality also allows installers, integrators and other partners to present the platform as part of their own service offering. This could support ongoing monitoring and management services after an installation has been completed, rather than limiting the relationship to the initial supply and commissioning of connected devices.
Expanding Shelly’s professional software portfolio
Shelly Business Manager joins a growing range of software platforms developed for professional applications. These include Shelly Fleet Manager, which supports the centralised configuration, updating and management of large numbers of Shelly devices across multiple locations, and the Shelly Solar Platform, which provides centralised monitoring of photovoltaic and energy systems.
While Fleet Manager focuses on deploying and maintaining connected devices at scale, Shelly Business Manager adds a customer-facing environment for monitoring sites, reviewing operational information and presenting data through custom-branded dashboards. The platform extends the Shelly ecosystem from individual device installation and automation to the ongoing management of larger connected buildings and multi-site estates.
Shelly’s professional software platforms are developed by its teams in Sofia. According to the company, developing the hardware and software within the same wider organisation supports closer integration between Shelly devices and its management platforms, as well as the continued addition of new capabilities for building, energy and automation projects.
