Following the success of our Toolbox Talk events last year SELECT are once again gearing up to take to the high roads of Scotland to bring advice on a range of technical subjects, which we think will be of interest, to both Members and non-members.
Bob Cairney, SELECT’s Technical Services Manager, explains “A frequent request that our highly valued technical helpline service receives is for guidance on various aspects of cable sizing and specifically confirmation of the adequacy of a conductor size associated with a circuit design is often asked for. The aim of our 2014 Toolbox Talk events is therefore to provide an awareness of the process of sizing a cable which should be basic knowledge for most electricians and electrical contractors.”
The Toolbox Talk events will be delivered at 11 different venues around the country and we are returning to many of the usual branch venues that have served us well over the years and also adding in a few new ones to our line-up, including Glasgow’s legendary Hampden Park.
We are delighted to announce that this year SELECT will be accompanied by the HSE and SECTT and many other industry partners such as Aico, Megger, Scolmore, Martindale and Lutron who will provide those attending a chance to review and obtain specific information relating to their products. The new offline version of SELECTCERTs cloud certification product will also be featured at the events.
We look forward to seeing you at this year’s Toolbox Talks which is sure to be a lively and informative series of events with a programme full of first-class technical presentations, a line-up of impressive venues and support from notable industry partners.
