Question: Is there a particular building standard for isolating and making safe an existing low voltage (LV) supply?

Answer: Regulation 4(2) of the Electricity at Work Regulations (EAWR 1989) requires that all systems are maintained where this will prevent danger.

The intention of the EAWR is to ensure that a managed system is installed and maintained to prevent an accident.
