Question: Is it a requirement under the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations to fit a totally new separate supply for a new whirlpool installation in a bathroom?

Alternatively, can an RCD-protected fused spur off the ring main suffice?

Answer: An RCD-protected fused connection unit (located outwith the bathroom or shower room) supplying such equipment will meet the requirements.
