Question: Does one have to install an RCD for additional protection in an office environment for a socket outlet cut into a stud wall, if the cables are concealed within a Gyproc metal frame plasterboard wall that only has a 75mm void?
Answer: Irrespective of the depth of cable, if the cable is concealed in a wall that includes metallic parts (e.g. metal stud partitions), and the installation is not under the supervision of a skilled or instructed person, then RCD protection is required.
