Question: On external lighting circuits supplying lighting bollards and lamp posts etc. (wired in SWA cable and buried in the ground), is it a requirement to provide RCBO protection?
Answer: Provided that earth fault values are within limits, and that automatic disconnection can be achieved, the circuits supplying external bollards would not normally require RCD protection.
