Adrian Sims, Senior Lighting Engineer for Mouchel in Hertfordshire, is the happy recipient of a late Christmas gift – a DAB digital wind-up radio from Elkay, one of the sponsors of the Voltimum Advent Calendar competition.

Elkay, who have recently launched a new and innovative range of energymanagement switches, timers and detectors, were keen to participate in the competition as part of their on-going support of the Voltimum site. The Elkay range, which has been designed to make significant savings on energy costs, has created a record number of enquiries and provided Elkay with a flying start to the year.
Always keen to keep up with new products within the industry, Adrian is a regular visitor to the Volitmum portal and entered the competition most days during December:
“It wasn’t to win any particular prize” he admits. “But it was a fun competition and as I’m on the site most days I thought I’d have a go – I’ve never won anything before so this is a welcome surprise.”
Adrian’s role at Mouchel, who work in partnership with Herfordshire County Council, involves the design and maintenance of street lighting throughout the county, but he won’t be bringing the new radio to work.
“I’m involved with Urban Saints, a Christian youth organisation which runs a campsite in Devon each summer. The radio will be more than welcome there, where we can often struggle to get a decent signal with a standard radio – so this prize will be put to excellent use!”
